How Kunexa began
Kunexa was born from a personal experience that opened my eyes to the stress that often comes with event planning. My close friend was planning her wedding, and despite her efforts to stay on top of things, I could see the exhaustion setting in. Every time I checked in on her, I got the classic "I'm fine" response—but we all know what that really means.
After watching her struggle for a while, I offered to step in and take over the planning. I’ve always loved hosting and organising events, so I knew I had the skills and passion to help. I took over everything—from coordinating vendors to understanding their vision—and by the time the wedding day arrived, it was everything they had dreamed of.
It was that moment when I realised: I could do this for others too. Inspired by this experience, I pursued formal education in event management, earning a diploma from City, University of London, to ensure I had the professional knowledge to back up my passion. And from there, Kunexa was born.
